Pet stains that keep coming back after cleaning
Why it happens here
Urine soaks through the carpet into the pad and sometimes the subfloor. Surface cleaning removes the stain but leaves the salts behind. When humidity rises, the odor returns. This is especially common in Salisbury and Barnum Woods homes with older padding.
Our approach
We use an enzyme cleaner to break down the urine salts, then sub-surface extraction with a carpet wand to pull it out of the pad. If the pad is too far gone, we replace that section. We also check with a moisture meter to make sure we are not leaving excess water behind.
